“Like” GPJA Facebook Page / Help get endorsers of January 25 protest

GPJA has changed its name to Global Peace and Justice Aotearoa at the request of friends outside Auckland who want to link up in this digital age.

We have new Facebook Page which is better than the old Facebook Group for communication.

But everyone must “Like” the Facebook Page and invite their friends to do the same.

Posters and leaflets can be picked up from the Unite Union office, 6a Western Springs Rd, Morningside, Auckland.

We have also sent a letter requesting endorsers of the January 25 protest from individuals and organizations.

Please feel free to copy and forward to anyone you feel may be supportive.

It reads as follows.

Global Peace and Justice Aotearoa are organising an antiwar action in Auckland on January 25. We will assemble at 2pm for speeches and then march to the US consulate in Customs Street where shoe-throwing will be encouraged.

The main demands for the action are:

“Stop the War Against Iran”
“NZ, US & other foreign troops out of Iraq now”

We would like your organisation to endorse it, or you can endorse as an individual (with your chosen form of identification).

This is also an opportunity to rejuvenate GPJA. An open meeting to do that is planned for 7pm, Tuesday, February 4 at the Auckland Trades Hall, 147 Great North Rd, Grey Lynn. You or a representative are encouraged to attend.

Please send endorsements of the protest action to Nicola Owen
