Community Hui to End Armed Police Patrols this Saturday (7th Dec) at 2pm!

Kia ora, members and supporters of PAPA!

The day is nearly here! After a successful weekend of handing out flyers (thanks to all those who helped!), we are gearing up for the hui itself. The general details of the event are below:

What: Community Hui to End Armed Police Patrols

When: Saturday December 7th, 2-4pm

Where: Ōtāhuhu Town Hall, 10 High St, Ōtāhuhu, Auckland

However, we’d like to extend a request to our members and supporters for a little extra help on the day. Here’s how you can help:

1. If you can make it earlier, we will be at the hall from 1pm, and would really appreciate some extra hands to help us get set up. This will all be pretty simple, putting out chairs and food, things like that.
2. On the note of food, we’ve had a few folks say they are interested in bringing some along! We will be buying some snacky finger foods (eg chips, biscuits), so anything on that kind of theme would be perfect.

And the most important:

3. Please come to the event and speak up! Share your stories! We will be opening the floor to anyone who wishes to speak and would love to hear from you all.

Our branch has been working really hard to make this hui happen, and we’d greatly appreciate any support you can give to help it succeed.
