The Cuba Friendship Society invites you to two events featuring the Cuban ambassador Mario Alzugaray Rodriguez a public lecture at 6pm on Thursday August 11, and a film showing at 7pm on Friday August 12 to celebrate Fidel Castro’s contribution to the Cuban revolution on his 90th birthday.

1) The public lecture is hosted by the New Zealand Institute for International Affairs (NZIIA)- Auckland Branch at 6pm on Thursday August 11 at the Old Government House; The University of Auckland Lecture Theatre: OGHLecTh/102-G36 on Princes Street .The theme of his address will be political and economic relations between Cuba and the United States of America. The Institute says we can expect that this address will consider also political and economic relations between Cuba and New Zealand. The flyer is attached.

Those who like to join the pre-address drink can meet with members of NZIIA at or after 5 p.m. in the foyer of the Pullman Hotel, in Waterloo Quadrant.
