SAT 20 JUNE – Auckland 12 noon – March for Peace; Christchurch – 1pm, Say No to privatisation

Saturday June 20th.
1pm, Bridge of Remembrance, Christchurch.
Rally!
Christchurch Says NO! To Privatisation
Keep Our Port Public

DP World has moved to take control of Lyttelton Port — Demand that the Council uphold the public mandate against privatisation

Decisions should be made by and for the people of Christchurch, not by private interests. Your voice matters. Let’s make it heard!

Spread the word. Keep DP World out of Christchurch and keep the local workers at the forefront of our public debate. Not all change is good. Make sure you pressure your Christchurch City Councillor to retain our public infrastructure in public ownership and control.

Further public activations and community engagement —

Saturday July 4th & 11th. Gathering point, 16 Canterbury Street, the Loons, Lyttelton. 9.30am. Leafleting & community demonstration.

Friday July 17th. 7pm – 9.30pm. The Loons. Community meeting. All welcome.

The momentum is building for our March for Peace on Saturday, 20 June, and we need you there with us.

With the recent US-Israeli attack on Iran causing massive global instability, and our own Government still negotiating a dangerous minerals deal with the Trump administration to fuel these wars, standing up has never been more urgent.

We cannot let our leaders trade away our environment and our independent foreign policy for imperial aggression.

RSVP and join the hīkoi >>
When we gather at Aotea Square, we will be sending a clear, unified message to the Government. Together with Anti-War Aotearoa, we are demanding:

1. An immediate stop to US-led wars: No deployment of New Zealand troops, intelligence, or military assets to wars of aggression.

2. Condemnation of the attack on Iran: The Government must openly condemn the illegal actions causing global instability.

3. A complete rejection of Trump’s war minerals deals: Stop selling off Aotearoa’s natural places to fuel overseas combat.

4. Sanction Israel: Implement immediate, meaningful sanctions on Israel to help end the genocide in Gaza.

The fight for a safe environment and the fight for world peace are the exact same battle. We need to show this Government that New Zealanders value diplomacy, international law, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi over conflict and profit.

Can you commit to marching with us? Please RSVP at the link below, and pass this email on to a friend or family member who wants to stand up for what’s right.
