Protest RocketLab: Stop the Militarisation of Space Monday, 21st June 2021, at 12:00-1:00 PM 25 Levene Place, Mt Wellington, Auckland RocketLab is a US owned company, whose major shareholders are US military arms manufacturers. They have been launching spy and weapon-control capable satellites into Space, from Aotearoa New Zealand. This is the militarisation of Space! These satellites will likely be used in future conflict and surveillance on Earth. RocketLab is using NZ as a launchpad, and potentially makes us into a military target. Peace experts have shared concerns that the satellite launches are in breach of our Nuclear Free status. Join us over lunchtime on Winter Solstice at 12-1pm for speakers and music, and to convey our concerns to RocketLab’s workers, management and to inform the general public.
