May was a busy month for Palestinian Human Rights activity in Auckland.

  • Tuesday May 11 – World Kufiya day
  • Saturday May 15 – Nakba day – 2,500 person March up Queen Street and speeches
  • Saturday May 22 – Follow up Rally – Speeches and 2,500 person march down Queen street to the US Embassy
  • Monday May 24 – University of Auckland – Students for Justice in Palestine Launch event
  • Sunday May 30 – Planning meeting on rejuvenating PSN – Tamaki Makaurau – Auckland
The next events in Tamaki Makarau are around the Naksa:

The Naksa is the start of the 1967 Israeli Attack, Invasion and Occupation of the Syrian Golan and Palestinian Gaza, West Bank and East Jrusalem.

Naksa stands for – "The day of the setback"

Come and learn about the Naksa as told by a member of the Palestinian Community in Auckland.

Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa will need some serious money to make our campaign as effective as possible. For example, we will need somewhere in the vicinity of $25,000 to bring speakers to New Zealand over the next year and organise large public meetings to help spread the message.
