Cancel RIMPAC: Take action before the ship sails

Recently a coalition of Aotearoa peace groups have released a video as part of our final push to stop New Zealand’s deployment to RIMPAC, the Rim of the Pacific military war exercises, led by the US.

We want you to be part of the movement to #CancelRIMPAC. We are asking everyone to sign our petition and help get the word out. RIMPAC is due to happen between 17-31 August. The NZ Navy ship that is going (the HMNZS Manawanui) will set sail in the first week of August. Our time is limited. Speak up for a free and independent Pacific. Share the petition with your networks and let people know you care about peace in the Pacific.

Aotearoa New Zealand has a history of standing for a nuclear-free and independent Pacific. We need to renew and expand that vision for the 21st century to address climate change, decolonisation and conventional weapons. Now is the time to make these links and work for peace.
