Over the past six months, Washington has stepped up sanctions against Cuba and falsely accused the government of “exploitative and coercive labour practices” towards its volunteer doctors.

The country’s economy is being hit as cruise companies and shipping lines cease operations to Cuba, with over 6,000 cases being filed in US courts this year claiming Cuban property.
