The Cuban Ambassador to New Zealand
Mario Alzugaray Rodríguez
will be speaking at two public events in Auckland
On Thursday, August 11 at 6pm Mario Alzugaray will be presenting a public lecture at the University of Auckland on “Economic and political relations between Cuba and the USA in a time of upheaval”. The venue is Old Government House, Lecture Theatre 102-G36, Princes Street, Auckland central. (See attached flyer)
The meeting is hosted by the New Zealand Institute for International Affairs, and those who would like a pre-address drink can join institute members at or after 5 p.m. in the foyer of the Pullman Hotel, in Waterloo Quadrant.
On Friday, August 12 at 7pmMario Alzugaray will speak at a showing of the documentary “Fidel es Fidel”, which celebrates Fidel Castro’s contribution to the Cuban Revolution. The venue is the Unite Union offices, 6A Western Springs Road, Kingsland. (This is near the Morningside train station and New North Road buses.)
The meeting is hosted by the Cuba Friendship Society and light refreshments will be available.
