Do you know that Victoria Uni Ph D student Ms Shaista Malik is researching links between media usage and NZers’ attitudes towards Islam and Muslims. I was sent the link to this research project by the Coalition for Better Broadcasting. As well as filling in the questionnaire it is an opportunity to share the view with the researcher that public attitudes to Muslims must surely be affected by the scarcity of background material on the Israeli occupation, the wall, the illegal settlements etcReporting of the Gaza ‘war’ did not include the full context including the siege – nor that Israel began it.
