Join West Papuan Wensislaus Fatuban film maker, environmentalist and human rights activist in Auckland

Oceania Interrupted and West Papua Action Auckland invite you to two special events with Wensislaus (Wensi) Fatubun who is visiting from West Papua. Wensi is a film maker, environmentalist, and human rights activist. The camera is his ‘weapon of choice’. He comes with a very timely message about the destructive impact of the palm oil conglomerates- as recent Greenpeace reporting reveals that West Papua’s forests are under renewed threat.

Wensislaus Fatuban goes to Orakei Marae

Ngati Whatua Orakei whanau are hosting Wensi on Sunday 7 October from 2pm – 3pm.

We welcome anyone who comes with one heart for a Free West Papua to come and listen to the korero.

On Tuesday 9 October, 19.30 – 21.30, Wesni will speak at Fale Pasifika.

This event is co-hosted by Oceania Interrupted, West Papua Action Auckland, and PILSA – the Pacific Islands Law Students Association.
