Kia ora friends and comrades,
We’re in the final stretch of the build-up to this year’s blockade of the arms trade. We hope you are planning to join us down in Wellington on 10 & 11 October. Find out about registration, travel, and training sessions below. Together we can stop this Weapons Expo!

Register to take action
We are asking people to register with our site at so we’ve got some idea about accommodation and food. Our friends in Wellington have got a couple of great places for people to stay. We would love it if you would sign up on the site. All the data gathered is stored securely & will be destroyed after unless you say otherwise.

We’ve got a Bus plus some private cars for transport. If you want to travel down with us, please register on the site above or email us on aucklandpeaceaction. It would be great to know how flexible your travel plans are.

Non-violence training session (to prepare for the blockade)
Join us in preparing for the blockade of the Weapons Expo in Wellington with a nonviolent direct action (NVDA) training session on Monday, Oct 2 starting at 6:30pm at Trades Hall, 147 Great North Road. The session is for people of all ages, abilities and levels of NVDA experience.

We will talk about what nonviolence is, brief on logistics & transport, talk about communications, media, legals and police and (the fun part!) simulate situations and practice tactics we can use on the day.
+ we will put on some kai!

Pledgeme – Help us get to the Weapons Expo (with some cool creative campaign responses)
Thank you to everyone who has already pledged on our fundraising efforts. We’ve reached our first goal of $1500. We’ve only got a couple of days left, but if you can’t make it to the Weapons expo this year, please chip in so others can. We extended our goal to $2,500. This would significantly increase the number of people from all over Aotearoa we could bring to Wellington to shut down the Weapons Expo – after all, what is a blockade without any people in it? And there are still plenty of fab rewards on offer.
So please keep sharing and donate if you haven’t already.

A Call to Arms – Our new film/video response
We released a short film in response to the arms industry’s attack on our campaign against war profiteering in Aotearoa. Please watch it & share it around!
