The most important part of the Week of Peace is getting as many people along as possible to support both the blockade of the weapons expo and the on-water flotilla against the warships. You can help make that happen by inviting friends to our events & sharing and retweeting our stuff on social media. This helps us to reach new audiences and amplifies the messages that profiting and glorifying war is not OK. Here’s a complete list of events, which you can copy & email, too!Musicians, poets & artists wanted!
On Wednesday, 16 Nov we’re creating a human peace zone around the weapons expo by blockading the Events Centre. We would love to have some wonderful peace performances of music, poetry, creative displays (martial arts, yoga, face painting, etc). If you are interested in helping to create a lively family-friendly atmosphere, please email us: aucklandpeaceaction or send us a message on facebook.Peace Flotilla facebook event
Details of the on-water peace flotilla are still being finalised for 17 November, but a facebook event has been created. Please consider being involved either on the water, or on land supporting the sailors, surfers and swimmers! And be sure to invite your family and friends on the facebook page.
